The Savage Boys & Girls Club is trying to get Rec Baseball running again. Interested in helping make that happen? We are seeking a Rec Baseball Commissioner to organize teams for the Spring 2020 season. We plan on starting with just a few teams - this is a great opportunity to get involved in building the future of Rec Baseball at Savage. Specific responsibilities can be found here, but in general you’ll organize teams, assign Coaches, Players and Umpires and ensure fields are secured for regular season and post-season play.

Responsibilities of the Rec Baseball Commissioner to include:

Organizing Teams:

• Recruit Head Coaches
• Organize teams through registrations, skills assessments and assigning players 

Games

• Create a schedule of games for all teams
• Secure fields to support game schedules
• Secure Umpires for each scheduled game

Communications / Marketing

• Promote upcoming seasons, registration process
• Promote Rec Baseball using Social Media

Issue Resolution

• Respond to and resolve issues reported against teams, players and/or fans
