A season of fun, fitness and team-building for teen girls is just around the corner! Our softball teams provide opportunities for learning, competition, and skills development. Come out, round the bases and make life-long friends.

We participate in the Howard County Softball Alliance.

Our goal is to limit each team to 12 girls so please register as soon as possible. Savage BGC also offers need-based scholarships. If you have any questions please feel free to send us an email.

Coach Wes 13U Rec Email: [email protected] Coach Wes was born and raised in Carter Lake, IA. He spent his youth playing every sport he could find time for; baseball and football being his favorites. He is now coaching youth girls softball, his step-daughter Khloe is on the team. His passion and love for softball shows in the excitement of the girls on the team. He is dedicated to teaching the basics and teamwork. First time softball players will easily fit in with him and his goofy attitude. When he isn’t coaching or working he enjoys playing on his rec softball league and watching games.

Savage Boys and Girls Club Softball offers:

• Maryland’s most diverse softball program
• A proven strategy for boosting confidence, camaraderie, fitness and sportsmanship among girls at all levels
• More than half a dozen regulated softball games for all participants
• Free uniforms (includes jersey, pants, and socks)

Spring

The season will begin April 1st
Age groups are 6-8, 9-10, 11-13 & 14. The season ends the week school lets out. Home games are at Savage Park and other Savage area fields. Away games are at fields located in all areas of Howard County. The 10U, 13U, and 15U Divisions participate in playoffs. All age groups compete in an All-Star game when possible.

Summer

Softball Fun Days (SFD) will be held periodically throughout the summer.  These events are for newbies and veteran players to come out & meet each other and play some Softball for fun.  You never know....we may allow parents to get in on the fun also!  Stay tuned!

Fall

The season will begin August 30th
Age groups are 6-8, 9-10, 11-13 &14 .  The season starts the 2nd week of September, and ends the last week of October.  Games are played once a week on Saturday, and one or two days during the week for practice.  Home games are played at Savage Park, and away games are typically at Western Regional Park, Rockburn Park, or Hammond ES.  There is no tournament or playoffs.
